The Lochs and Tarns of the Central Highlands are some of the greatest inland bodies of water in all of Caledonia. Long and narrow they are often very deep and support an abundance of life on their shores, in a variety of habitats. While many have legends which have grown up about thier depths, most of the clans who live near them continue with their daily lives unaffected by the perils which might lay beneath the deep.

The Great Lochs

Three of the great lochs of Caledonia sit around the base of the Central Highlands. These massive bodies of water contain over a quarter of the fresh water in the nation.
